The OECD workshop "Potential Environment Benefits of Nanotechnologies - fostering a safe and innovation-led growth" 15-17 July is in its final planning stage.
The workshop will be a joint event between OECD's two working parties on R&D and business aspects of nanotechnology (OECD WPN) and safety of nanomaterials (OECD WPMN).
It will discuss potential environment beneficial applications like:
- Water treatment and purification
- Energy generation, storage and conservation
- Car emission reduction
- Cleaner production;
- Environmental remediation and sensing; and
- Reduction of agricultural pollution.
and also include safety aspects linked with these developments.
